Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful

Political language. . . is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable,
and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.

The feel of your heart beating with mine
Email This Post
If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine…
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

How can I write a poem about my love
Email This Post
How can I write
a poem about my love for you?
Words can’t begin
to convey the way my heart
goes into overdrive
when I think of you.
What phrases can replace
the light that glows within
when I imagine us together?
I could write you
a love song,
but no music can
express the depth
of what I feel for you.
No song can stir me
the way the sound
of your voice does.
You’re the notes
rising above life’s din,
crossing rivers
and climbing
over mountains
to reach my heart.
